I like the way he can snag a ball. He did get hurt and with the high flying Seahawks it would be a tough year. I hope the Titans pick him up so he can pull in some pass agian with M/H. Good luck I'll be watching whats next for you. What ever you decide is fine with me. Your a gifted player. I say use it up if you can and play!.

Williams may have blessed the Seahawks, but the Seahawks did him absolutely no favors by bringing Tarvaris in to throw him the ball. I can hardly wait til the same thing happens to Tarvaris in a couple weeks. Tarvaris? You are the weakest link....goodbye.

This is the year that Tarvaris is going to really blossom at the QB position and he's going to be taking the Hawks on that wonderful ride. BMW and his lack of desire last year was a hindrance to the team and took another option away from Tarvaris. That's why he started finding more of a rapport with Baldwin and Obo. This year, with a fresh set of receivers in place, he'll find more openings in the defense and his completion percentage will skyrocket. Go Hawks!

The Seahawks will save the $4 million and roll it into next year's cap by cutting him. There is absolutely no reason to keep him when there are at least two other QB's that are guaranteed to remain on the team, both of which will be better than he is.

And so he'll emerge this year and then next year it will be Tarvaris getting the big bucks with a new deal. It's a cyclical thing. It's a given that Pete's not going to go into the season with three QBs with a combined 8 quarters of NFL experience. That's just not the way a team operates.

It just makes too much sense to get rid of Tarvaris. It will allow for 4 million to be rolled into next year's cap. The production from the other QB's should exceed what Tarvaris puts out on his best days. How difficult will it be for Flynn or Wilson to be a bottom 5 QB like Tarvaris was. Even before the injury, Tarvaris was one of, if not THE, worst QB in the NFL. For having been in the same offense, with the same coordinator, for 6 years, it's amazing to see Flynn and Wilson on equal footing after having the playbook less than 3 months. If you think that makes Tarvaris look like the better QB, I think you need to think about it a bit more.

Claiming that the production of Flynn and Wilson will be superior to Tarvaris is quite farfetched. It would just be a guess at this point, and Pete C. is smarter than that where he's going to lay his job on the line on the whim of a guess. Last I looked, there were 32 teams in the NFL and Tarvaris was ranked No. 21, so I think you need to take a math class again. And the thing I look at is the end of the year, where his QB rating and pass completion percentage trended upward. That's not a coincidence as the team around him also progressed and gained momentum. I'm not against Flynn taking the starting job if he warrants it in camp, but to leave Tarvaris out of the mix would be complete and utter lunacy.

Lunacy would be paying Flynn his money, paying Jackson and floundering away practice reps that should go to Wilson to get him up to speed sooner rather than later. Third string QB's don't get many reps in practice. Jackson will more than likely not be re-signed after this season anyway, so the QB's that could have a future with the team need all the reps they can get in the mean time.

Sure, Tarvaris offers experience. Sure, he's tough. Sure, he is a professional. I can't and don't argue against those points. Where my argument starts and ends is on the field of play. Tarvaris is not good in that area and that area is where he gets paid to play. He holds the ball way too long. He is not accurate. He doesn't seem to be able to anticipate or get through more than one read. He doesn't tuck it and run when receivers aren't open, he just stands there with the ball and takes sacks. He doesn't throw the ball unless the receiver is WIDE OPEN..receivers are rarely WIDE OPEN and QB's need to be able to throw into tighter windows than Tarvaris seems capable of doing. I see no reason to think Flynn and/or Wilson will play as poorly ON THE FIELD. Now, on to what Tarvaris supporters don't seem to see...the future. Flynn is signed for a minimum of $10 million over the next two years. Wilson was just drafted and signed a 4 year contract worth approx $3 million. Jackson is on the final year of a two year contract that is not guaranteed. Portis makes close to the league minimum. Teams need to look to the future now more than ever. The cap is set to stay flat for at least another 3 seasons and Seattle has a few young stud players that will be due extensions and new contracts. Cutting Tarvaris now saves $4 million against the cap that can be rolled into next year. He is probably going to be gone anyway and the Seahawks should find out what they have in the other two guys this season so they know what they need to do next year. Keeping Tarvaris stunts the growth of the team and it's future.
