Among the sexiest career options out there: Secret Agent.
So it’s not a huge surprise that former CIA spy Valerie Plame, famously outed during the Bush Administration, has drawn attention for calling the CIA ‘the world’s largest dating agency.’
Before you start imagining torrid love affairs reminiscent of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” know this: It has more to do with understanding the complications that come with a career in the CIA, and less about meeting as secret agents and keeping your secret identity, well, a secret.
“I think it’s probably akin to actors tending to have relationships with other actors because it is a rather strange universe,” she told KIRO Radio’s Dave Ross. “Being in the CIA is a unique career with pressures and challenges that it’s best if someone is inside and understands that.”
Plame has written a book-turned movie about her life after resigning from the CIA when her cover was blown. She’s now dipping into the world of fiction and has a new book called “Blowback,” about a covert CIA ops officer.
