Police have arrested three people suspected stealing a number of holiday mail and package deliveries in Tacoma.

Officers responding to the call reporting the theft in Northeast Tacoma were able to locate the suspects from a description of their vehicle.

When authorities located the truck they found it was full of delivered mail and packages, some labeled from Amazon says Tacoma Police officer Loretta Cool.

Police will serve a search warrant on the truck Thursday to catalog the stolen mail and get it back to the post office so it can be delivered in time for Christmas.

“They’ve already contacted the United States Postal Service who will be there when the warrant is served so that they can take custody of the mail and packages to get them to the intended recipients,” says Cool.

The driver, a 26-year-old woman, and two other occupants of the vehicle, a 21-year-old female and a 38-year-old man, were arrested.
