A 17-year-old Monroe girl is facing serious charges after allegedly stealing and selling a dog she was watching for a friend.
The girl was supposed to watch over and feed the 3-month-old Lab-boxer mix for a family in Monroe earlier this month.
She told the family the puppy ran away, but the Everett Herald reports the girl had already placed an ad for the dog on Craigslist the day before she was supposed to feed it.
The girl sold the puppy for $200. Police found the dog when the person who bought it posted pictures on Facebook.
The teen could face theft and trafficking in stolen property charges.
