Police are looking for a man who left his Santa hat on a bus after trying to rob a Seattle bank on Monday.
Detectives say the suspect walked into a bank in the Beacon Hill neighborhood, handed the teller a poorly spelled demand note, and then left without any money.
It’s not clear why the suspect walked out, but it could be that the Bank of America teller didn’t understand the demand. The note read: “this is a robary.”
The suspect hopped on a bus as the bank staff called police. Police say he left behind his Santa hat as he got off the bus.
If you recognize the suspect, police want you to call the robbery (not robary) unit at 206-684-5535.
