Seattle cop arrested for domestic violence incident in Snohomish County

An alleged domestic violence incident has put a Seattle Police officer on paid administrative leave.

The Seattle cop, who lives in Snohomish County recently filed for divorce with his wife. Late on Tuesday, the wife called 911 to report that she’d been assaulted by her husband. A few minutes later, the 911 dispatch received a call from the cop, where he stated he had not assaulted his wife.

The 41-year-old officer was booked into Snohomish County jail for a misdemeanor domestic violence assault.

The officer is assigned to the Special Operations Bureau in Seattle. He has been administratively re-assigned to home pending an investigation.

The Office of Professional Accountability will monitor the criminal case for developments and after will proceed with a separate administrative investigation into the officer’s conduct.
