Conservatives "jubilant" about Romney's performance

While he insists he's not gloating, conservative author and talk-show host Michael Medved says he's "jubilant" about Mitt Romney's performance in the first presidential debate.

"I have not found a single individual or media voice or anyone who believes the president won the debate," he says.

Medved, appearing on KIRO Radio Thursday morning, says on both substance and style, it's clear Romney outshined President Obama.

"I'm brought to what my eighth grade debate coach always taught us, which is that you win debates and you win arguments if you look like you're enjoying yourself."

Medved says Obama's often dour and seemingly disinterested demeanor reminded him of President George H.W. Bush in a debate with Bill Clinton and Ross Perot, where Bush seemed to repeatedly check his watch as if bored by the proceedings. And he says it should change the dynamic of the race.

"There's no question that the Romney side is up there with momentum right now."

Medved says candidate's performance suddenly puts far more importance on next Thursday's vice presidential debate between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan.

"I think it's very possible that Joe Biden is going to come out pushing the Democratic attack lines not against Paul Ryan, but against Romney, which forces Paul Ryan into a very complicated situation," he says.

Medved says he was most surprised that President Obama avoided bringing up some of the most contentious issues of the campaign so far, including Romney's comments about writing off the 47 percent of Americans, the release of his tax returns, and his supposed flip-flopping on the issues.

"President Obama seemed not to want to go down into sort of the slugfest arena, Joe Biden probably will," Medved predicts.

Finally Medved gets the BIG picture! but is there hope for Mike?
remembering back to 96 when Clinton and Dole debated , how Dole was proposing his 10% tax plan and Clinton kind of leaned on his podium and grinned at him like he was a fool, said, "it just wont work," and at that moment the election was over. I voted Dole anyway but Clinton nailed Dole into a coffin with his easy relaxed smile. Dole responded, "but It will work Mr President." Douh!

If that 10% tax plan was enacted, it would have worked.
That is where my party lost its vision. Every economic professor in America said that if we had a 10% tax plan without write-offs or deductions, if it was in the form of a pay now not later principle that there would be no deficit in America in 10 Years. No deficit however scared the economist like Alan Stupidspan who related not being in debt with skyrocketing inflation because people would have more money to buy things with. but facts are facts, more money to buy things with means more commerce and more profits. In the Alan Stupidspan mindset, keeping people poor artificially makes the wealthy more too-do. So government WANTS the middle class to struggle and the lower class to be on welfare to keep the wealthiest from needing to become even richer to keep he gap. its kind of a slavery.

Hey medved and the rest of you RWNJ's here: I have a question for you
How does it feel to be betrayed yet again by Governor Etch a Sketch? So Mittens now says he was "completely wrong" on his 47% comment.

Is there no issue or statement he won't flip flop on? Oh wait, there's one: He won't release his tax returns like countless other presidential candidates have.

Here's my question about this for you RWNJ's who are suddenly so enthralled with Romney: Most of you here cheered his 47% comment and said he was absolutely right to say it.

So how does it feel to have this weasel in effect tell you that you're "completely wrong?"

Like the prison in Illinois to be the new home of club Gitmo terrorists, bypassed congress and waiting to get re-elected to move in, or telling Medved to tell Putin, after I am re-elected, I will give up our advantages in missle defense.Wag the dog.
