With No I.D., Bigger Problems than Voting

Left-wing activists have launched a ferocious fight against laws in more than twenty states that require a photo ID in order to vote. Most recently, billionaire William Louis-Dreyfuss took out a full page ad in the New York Times to announce his own million dollar contribution to battle what he calls "racist" voter suppression.

Such hysterical claims ignore research from the Carter Center of Emory University, in a paper signed by former President Carter himself, finding less than 2 percent of eligible voters who lacked proper ID. Rather than buying ads and funding lawsuits, wouldn't liberals more wisely invest their resources in helping such people get the identification they need? If you don't have a photo ID, you can't cash checks, ride airplanes, or drive cars, and you've got far bigger problems than being unable to vote.

HEY - that DOES bring up an interesting questtion. Your right to vote on ELECTION DAY just might be denied.
With this mail in ONLY system, there appear to be few options if any to decide to vote election day, even if properly registered.

King County, for example, DOES have 12 drop box locations and 3 van locations to drop ballots, but you must ALREADY have a ballot. ... Loose your pre-mailed ballot or never get one in the first place and there doesn't seem to be a way to get one on election day. ... Just another of the wonderments of mail-in voting.

Actually there is a way, ron
You can print a provisional ballot from the King County website and cast it.

If my memory serves me the url ended in everonecounts, or something similar.

I did it that way, we were leaving and I hadn't got my ballot yet.
