Will Evangelicals Really Sit Out the Election?

Recent polls produced confusing results in the presidential contest - with Barack Obama ahead over-all, but Mitt Romney leading comfortably among independents.

How could this be?-as independents are the key swing votes that settle closely divided elections? Actually, many polls over-sample Democrats-predicting they'll turn out in record numbers, exceeding even the tidal wave for the hope-and-change campaign of 2008. Moreover, they also project conservative-leaning groups staying home: analysis of the Marist Poll in key swing states projected 20 to 30 percent lower white Evangelical participation than last time.

This flows from liberal assumptions that religious conservatives are disengaged from this election, and uncomfortable with Romney's Mormon faith. This means that Evangelicals can shock the elites and tip the results by rallying at least as strongly for Romney-Ryan as they did for George W. Bush-or John McCain.

Evangelist sitting this out? Don't know about that, but
I know that a lot of Obama supporters will sit this one out. The Left wing smear campaign against us Americans has backfired on you useful idiots. We Americans are energized and ready to rock and roll this November. With each and every new scandal that emerges daily from this Obama white house, the ObamaEconomy, unemployment, The war in the Middle east, etc will be on our voting minds this November when we vote President Romney and real "Hope and Change" and remove your Dear Leader from our government and our lives!

This evangelical isn't sitting this out
Romney's Mormonism means little to me when it comes to him doing his job as a decent executive. His faith, by our Constitution, shouldn't serve as a litmus test, correct? However, one's worldview (treatment of people, honesty, integrity, fairness, work ethic, etc) is important and is and should be influenced by one's faith. That is a long discussion if we compare Romney's view verses that of Obama.

Funny... Romney lied about his meeting with Doherty...
aaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnd the Right wingers on this page are defending that... So just so we're clear conservatives... It is OKAY to lie about having a relationship with a person that only recently died in service to his nation in order to score political points? You're saying this is the Moral example of the Republican Party and you're totally okay with it? --- Don't try disputing this with me, the dude's best friend just told you all how this event went down and how Romney didn't even recognize the guy 30 minutes after having met him and Doherty thought he looked like a robot, a joke, just pandering and politicking - So is this the kind of Morals you want folks to see out of your party?

It's me! Ha ha! - there's no reason to dispute it, and no reason to be confused
Doherty's family and friends has come out and spoken to the very radio station these blogs come from and explained that Romney lied about his encounter with Doherty for political gain... what's hard to figure out? What's there to dispute? Romney has no morales and no values and i just proved he lied to the American people for political gain, What is it going to take for you conservatives to understand you picked the wrong guy?

    If you're right, Cbrew...
is your choice Obama who can't get his story straight about something important like what happened in Libya? Talk about lying for political gain! I have my own questions about the Doherty encounter. Could be his friend remembers it differently. Did Romney lie? I don't know. Whatever happened, this is your iron-clad proof that Romney is not fit for the office? Politicians play up anything because they want votes. Not excusing it, but it happens. But to say he has no values and morals because you want to believe another person's take on, I'm sorry, a non story is ridiculous.

Mitler Dumney claimed Obama “has not signed one new free trade agreement in the past four years”
But October 23, 2011, Obama signed free-trade agreements with South Korea, Panama and Colombia.

So Milter is either a freaking lying bag of human excrement, or he is so out of touch he shouldn't be let within a hundred miles of the oval office.

Especially pathetic was his "evolution" on abortion
First he was for it, then he had an epiphany (just when he was running for the Republican nomination, conveniently enough) and said he would do anything possible to stop it, now he isn't going to pass ANY legislation on abortion.

    Those gals can rest easy.

The man will say anything to anyone.
