The Battle of Biographies

The Obama-Romney duel isn't just a contest of vision and values, but also a battle of biographies.

Mitt Romney has devoted his life to institutions the left views as outmoded and even dangerous - the business community, the Mormon Church and the traditional, patriarchal family.

Barack Obama has invested his existence in endeavors the right considers self-indulgent, unproductive and even un-American - community organizing, elite academia, navel-gazing autobiography and corrupt political machines.

To Democrats, for-profit business is selfish, and to Republicans big government is arrogant. Liberals think that Romney feels contempt for ordinary Americans, while conservatives believe Obama shows contempt for America itself.

With such deep biographical distinctions, the election isn't just about which candidate is best qualified, but it's become a polarized process to decide which contender is worthy, and which one worthless.

    Medved prefers GOP solutions to complex problems like poverty: Unemployed? Don't do what Medved did and apply for Military deferments and GOVERNMENT Student loans (and go to Yale). Homeless? Have fun in Jail because the GOP & Medved would make being homeless illegal. Want to Take Plan B because you had sex as a woman? What would "the Elders" say? (who are probably only 20 yrs old and still want you to call them "Elder". Need a war started against Iran? GOP leadership is ready and willing! There is a clear choice, but it's not Romney.

    What evidence do you have about homeless becoming illegal? The lefties have very little intellecual going for them. It's like talking to a 5 year old who wont listen and keeps repeating the same nonsense due to the fact he cant properly defend his vacant positions.

Ryan voted against continued federal aid for Planned Parenthood and Title X family planning programs. He also opposed giving over-the-counter status for emergency contraceptive pills. Ryan was one of 227 co-sponsors of the 2011 No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act bill in the House of Representatives that would have limited funding for federally funded abortions to victims of "forcible rape". "Forcible rape" was not defined in the bill, which critics said would result in excluding date rape, statutory rape, or other situations where the victim had diminished mental capacity. What evidence do I have about homeless becoming illegal? Medved himself states this when he discusses the subject.     until about two weeks ago when Billy Grahamcracker took it out of the "Evil Cult" list.

    And the "right" considers the traditional, patriarchal family as a family where the wife is submissive and knows her place, or it's going to have to be the back of the hand again.

    when he just wrote a few posts above "And yes, being a vagrant should be illegal."

    If you're going to arrest them you need to put them someplace, and since they're so many you'd have to concentrate their numbers into some kind of camp. So what I wrote was 100% accurate.
