How will Democrats stop ‘more Fergusons?’

Nov 6, 2014, 4:35 PM | Updated: 4:36 pm

Near the end of their failing midterm election campaign, Democrats launched shameful efforts to exploit the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.

Radio ads and leaflets in at least six states invoked the memory of the dead 18 year old, suggesting that the only way to prevent “more Fergusons” was to elect more Democrats. They never even tried to explain how voting for rich white liberals was supposed to keep poor black teenagers out of harm’s way. After all, the Ferguson tragedy occurred under the federal leadership of Democrats Barack Obama and Harry Reid, with a Missouri governor, Jay Nixon, who’s a partisan Democrat, and in St. Louis County, where County government is totally dominated by Democrats.

If electing Democrats is supposed to prevent “more Fergusons,” why didn’t election of all these Democrats serve prevent the original tragedy?
