Who's Out of Touch?

The president's re-election campaign attacks Mitt Romney as hopelessly "out of touch," but a recent vote in North Carolina revealed that it's Obama himself who is removed from ordinary Americans. Voters (both black and white) overwhelmingly backed a constitutional amendment preventing redefinition of marriage-an amendment strenuously opposed by leading Democrats.

Meanwhile, the administration welcomed a U.N. bureaucrat to America to review "oppression" against Indians--a "rapporteur" who then demanded the U.S. to give Native Americans more land, including Mount Rushmore. Speaking of public land, it's Obama supporters who have filed frequent lawsuits to remove crosses or 10 Commandment displays while deriding the influence of religion.

Mitt Romney may well be far wealthier than average Americans, but he shares their attitudes toward family, faith and hard work. In judging who's really out of touch, values matter more than the size of a candidate's personal bank account.

    Obama may be out of touch with the majority of voters in North Carolina on this issue but then again this is a state that allows cousins to marry.

    Nationally the numbers are significantly different.

    I once listened to your history lessons, I learned so much. I had to stop, however, your views and thoughts dont help my P.T.S.D. I have been married to the same woman 42 years.I dont know your family and I have no right to tell them who to marry or what to do with their bodies or anything for that matter.If their is a sin, leave it up to God to decide their fate! Stop judging strangers, your family will do just fine as will my marriage if gays marry, let them be happy. You are so cruel,and for being such a brilliant man, thats really sad.

    English royalty ALSO allows cousins to marry. ... But if cousins are truly in love ????? Ah, but that's the contradiction of gay marriage.

    And did I say it was a GOOD idea ? .. But, considering ALL of European royalty did this, maybe it WAS a good thing. Competent and sane kings could never have been overthrown.

    It appears on this issue, the polls are totally off. For how much we're told that we agree with the President on this, it seems that the agreement stops when we step into the voting booth.

    No talk show host should be reporting on what Ashley Judd or Sarah Jessica Parker think about politics. Nor do I really care what republican backers think either. I just turn off the radio.

    I wrote earlier, but I missed something, Iagree with you on nothing but understand you are a brillant man. I cant believe you would allow the rights of the minority to be decided by the majority.In the south, Blacks would have NO rights, black and white would NOT marry, etc, etc, come on now, sometimes people are stupid! filled with hate! or think THEY get to play GOD and judge others. You are much too smart to say stupid things. tell the truth! you want Obama to loose and you will even make yourself look stupid to help defeat him.
