Interview: Paul Ryan and Romney's 'pro-growth plan'

Continuing down the long and winding campaign trail, Vice Presidential nominee Paul Ryan told Michael Medved they'll be able to turn the economy around after the election.

"Our goal is to get this economy growing as fast as we can - we think very quickly as a result of the election, we can do that." Ryan said that because the Romney campaign is telling people what they're going to do right now that they will be able to accomplish their goals right away.

He learned the lesson in Wisconsin: Tell people who you are. Tell people what you believe. Tell people what your plans are to solve these problems. Then get elected and do it.

"We're being very specific. We've got a 5-point plan for a stronger middle class. We're saying how we're going to reform these government programs to prevent a debt crisis."

    So, what's the point, CH?
Should we judge all plans by what people comment in posts?

    Natua Disasters sometimes effects growth
I wonder how Romney who handle, for example floods, tsunami, tornadoes, hurricanes, large earthquakes as I recall House Majority Leader Eric Cantor has proposed that the federal government should not provide financial relief to states hit by natural disasters surly this would effect the 47% the most.

    Romney and the Republican brand
What the polls have been showing all along is that folks just aren't buying what the Republicans are selling. Not on health care, not on tax policy ,not on foreign policy, not on womens' issues, not on immigration. What the Republicans are selling isn't easy to begin with. That is the reason Mr. Romney and Mr. Ryan keep " stepping in it." It isn't because they are particularly bad salesmen, they are all of that , but it is mostly the product, Medved. The Republican brand is a relic, an ancient doctrine collapsing under it's own weight. It cannot hold up to the slightest scrutinty. And folks are seeing through your efforts and and all the double speak of the lawyers at the Fox News desk who are advocating so relentlessly. It must be so disheartening for you to see the polls day after day. Joe

    Specific?
Paul Ryan says they are being specific about what they will do it elected. Please tell me that someone linked to the wrong page, because there is nothing specific about what Romney says he will do if elected on that page. Saying he will go after China, cut spending, and champion small business tells me nothing I need to hear to make a choice to vote for him. If he would actually tell Americans HOW he will do those things, that would be a start.

Mitt lists just 3 points in his 5 point plan. There is an interesting side note about his third point which concerns regulation on small business. Big business lobbies congress for regulation on medium size business to prevent them from becoming big and competing with them. Likewise medium size business lobbies congress for regulation on small business to prevent them from expanding. There isn't a democrat in congress smart enough to write a piece of legislation. Corporate lobbyists write all regulation bills for the democrats to pass. Go ahead and tell me Murray and Cantwell write there own bills.

What would romney do, specifically, to make the nation better? Millions now have health insurance that didn't before, and it was done with a net positive for the budget/debt/deficit. That seems pretty good to me. He also found 741 million in Medicare savings without cutting benefits to a single person. #BudgetHawk
