Crash that caused ‘big distraction,’ major backups on NB I-5 into Seattle cleared

A crash that blocked all lanes of northbound I-5 into Seattle Thursday was at least partially cleared before 6 a.m. But it already did its damage to the morning commute.

The crash was partially pushed out of the way near Dearborn around 5:30 a.m. However, it continued to block two lanes until just before 6:30.

The state says the crash involving an unknown amount of vehicles was a “big distraction” getting into downtown.
