FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Kevin Olekaibe scored 25 of his career-high 43 points in the second half as Fresno State defeated Seattle 78-72 on Thursday night in a nonconference game.
Olekaibe went 12 of 25 from the field and made all 14 of his free throws to become the first Fresno State (13-16) player to score 40 points in a game since Courtney Alexander on March 1, 2000.
Aaron Broussard scored 19 points and Clarence Trent added 14 for Seattle (10-15), which saw its four-game winning streak snapped.
Olekaibe opened the second half with consecutive 3-pointers and made two free throws with 59 seconds remaining to ice the game for the Bulldogs.
Tyler Johnson added 12 points for Fresno State and Jerry Brown had seven points and 11 rebounds.
