Boeing officials are hinting that the company’s next plane could bring more jobs to Washington.
The Seattle Times reports that officials talked about an all-new plane during a media tour in Everett, where the 777X wings are being assembled at a massive plant.
KIRO 7 toured the facility in May.
“These wings, that we’re going to make here, you’ll never wear them out,” said Mike Day with Boeing Manufacturing.
Boeing received the largest tax break in state history to build that plant.
The vice president in charge of future development told the Times the 777X factory will be a vital part of the future.
Boeing is expected to reveal details about its next project at the Farnborough air show near London later this month.
