Republicans are going to need wider cars if Paul Ryan continues to speak

I thought it was just a little odd that House Speaker Paul Ryan, chair of the Republican convention, gave his big speech last night and only mentioned Donald Trump twice.
That is not terrible, I suppose. But not once did he mention a Trump promise or a problem that Trump could solve. He didn’t mention anything about the wall, or horrible trade deals. And it’s not like there wasn’t time.

For example, here’s a perfect place for a Trump mention: “The Obama years are almost over. The Clinton years are way over. 2016 is the year America moves on…”
By electing Donald Trump, he should have added. Come on, the audience was still clapping. There was time! Name your ticket.
But he doesn’t.
Let’s try one more time: “In the plainest terms I know, it is all on the line. So let’s act that way. Let’s act that way. So let’s act that way. Let’s act that way. Let’s use the edge we have because it is still what earns the trust and the votes. This year of surprises and dramatic turns can end in the finest way…”
When America elects the two men who not only know what’s wrong but know how to fix it, Donald Trump and Mike Pence!
“When America elects a conservative governing majority,” Ryan finished.
When America elects a conservative governing majority. If that’s the bumper sticker, Republicans are going to need wider cars.
