The man suspected of killing an Oso-area couple will go to court in Arizona on Thursday for an extradition hearing.
Investigators believe John Reed fatally shot Monique Patenaude and her husband, Patrick Shunn, over a long-standing property dispute back in April.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s says it does not know if Reed will attempt to fight against being returned Washington state.
Reed was captured by authorities in Mexico. He was turned over to American authorities at the border. Reed has been booked into Pima County Jail. His bail bond amount has been set at $5 million.
Reed’s brother Tony turned himself in and led police to where the bodies were hidden.
The brothers’ parents have been charged with rendering aid to them.
