If you’re frustrated with Sarah Palin, Nancy Pelosi or
politics in general, a Centralia company is offering an
outlet in the form of target practice.
The creators of Bastard Blasters told 97.3 KIRO FM’s Dori Monson Show that the
targets are just meant to be fun.
“We have the Obama blaster, the Pelosi blaster, the Palin
blaster,” said co-creator Dan Klug. “They’re novelty
items.”
Klug told Monson they have no party bias.
“We don’t care if it’s a Republican, Democrat, Tea Party.
All politicians, they make mistakes, and people like to
poke fun at them,” said Klug. “We’re just giving people
an outlet to have a little fun with it.”
Monson told the creators he personally finds the idea of
politicians’ faces on targets a little “unsettling.”
“I like using my words to criticize politicians,” said
Monson. “I’m not sure I want people blasting them on clay
pigeons.”
Dan Rich, Klug’s co-founder, said it’s just for fun.
“We’re having a good time with it,” said Rich. “It’s a new
business venture for us.”
“Anybody that wants to put some hate into it or anything
like that for these people that are on there, that’s
them,” said Klug. “It’s not us.”
