Saturday lineup
By Shannon Drayer
The Mariners are getting a healthy dose of the San Diego Padres this weekend as today they take them on for the second of three straight days.
Blake Beavan will "start" but most likely will pitch just one inning as it is stil very early. Extra pitchers scheduled today (most who will pitch) are Bobby LaFromboise, Kameron Loe, Lucas Luetge, Jhonny Nunez, Danny Hultzen, Taijuan Walker, Jonathan Arias, Carson Smith and Yoervis Medina.
One pitching note, they are going slow once again with Felix Hernandez. His first start has yet to be announced and he has only just started throwing bullpens in Peoria so we most likely will not see him in a game until next weekend at the very earliest. The Mariners started Felix late two years ago and he was comfortable with that. He knows what he needs in terms of games to get ready and it isn't much. He will need to get his pitch count up but there is plenty of time for that. They just will not waste pitches or innings with Felix in spring training.
As for the lineup, we are still a couple of days away from seeing Dustin Ackley and Brendan Ryan as Eric Wedge has elected to hold them back a little coming off off-season surgeries.

First pitch at 12:05. The game can be heard on 710 ESPN.
