Another reason to be proud of Russell Wilson

The one criticism of Russell Wilson is that at times, especially in his post-game news interviews, he is described as somewhat robotic. He gives answers, but they’re often cliches. People think it sounds like he’s really trying to sound like a wonderful person.
Thursday night, after the Cowboys game, I sat there listening and I heard Russell Wilson in a way that I never have before.
Before the game, he was part of this million-dollar donation that was made to Strong Against Cancer, a group that works with pediatric cancer. He was so eloquent and passionate in talking about the work this organization does.
I want you to hear the quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks in a way that I’ve never heard him before in a post-game interview. (At 4:19 minutes:)

At a time when too many sports stars or people in the entertainment field let people down because of their personal character, the fact that that’s what fires him up and makes him at his most eloquent — not only is he a great quarterback, but you hear something like that and you can feel pretty good about that as a fan.
