Peace while obeying the law

Corine Mack, president of the Charlotte chapter of the NAACP, speaking about Mr. Keith Scott, said that it doesn’t matter whether he had a book or a gun in his hand.
So, if I’m to understand this correctly, is she saying that you should be allowed, even when being ordered to drop a gun by the police, to get out of a car holding a gun when pulled over by a police officer?
With all due respect to Mack, are you insane?
My audience is filled with legal gun owners. But I don’t think anyone in my audience believes that if you’re pulled over by an officer, that’s it’s fine to jump out of your car with a handgun.
God bless the family of Mr. Scott for having the love for their fellow man and country for calling for peace in Charlotte.
