So what they if they lost. They need support during thier down times not a chewing out. I lost alot of respect for leech and he should be sent on his way after his crazy blow up. I did not want the last coach to leave and he was working on getteing the cougars ready and a heck of a nice guy. Look its not the players fault of the higher ups making thier bad choices. Salk is right. He is what WSU needs. Who cares if a coach is nice, these may 18-22 year olds but if you can't handle a little a** chewing than you don't belong playing a sport like football. This is exactly what this team needs and while it may be a rough go here in the short-term,...long-term, its going to pay dividends. He wasnt over-the-top,..and if some stud football cried over it....bummer. Suck it up kid..life isnt going to be any easier on you than the coach is now. Time to step up.

Stop playing semantics. There IS a culture to winning in anything you do in life (business, social, and yes the locker room). When faced with adversity, 'one' has a choice. You either suck it up and FIND a way, or you roll over into a fetal-ball and quit. Marquis Wilson was a tired, lazy prima-dona that didn't want to go through a conditioning practice because ...frankly... they are ball-busters. Frustrated, and pissed that he was sucking air for a coach and a team that HE felt were going nowhere... he walked out on them all. What was his rationale at that time? Abuse?.... Certainly not. He just walked. Nothing said. How about the day after that?.... Tales of abuse?... Nope. The AD responded by suspending him and THAT'S when it sunk in... "there goes my NFL career. I had better have a darn good reason why I acted like a whiny brat..... Ah yeah. Leach abused me. That's the national hot spot (in light of Sandusky and Leach's dismissal at Tech). That's when tales of abuse arose. An hour before kickoff when the biggest possible national audience would listen. Where it would get buried as a back page story. The timing is more than skeptical. It smacks of PR. It's contrived. No specifics. Just abuse. Generalized, non-descript physical, and emotional abuse. Fortunately, this is America... where you cannot slander people without recourse. Should Wilson find his way onto a roster in the NFL somehow... kiss that signing bonus goodbye.
