As alleged shooter Arcan Cetin heads into court for the first time, the Skagit County community is planning a vigil Monday night for the victims of Friday’s mass shooting.
The Light the Boulevard vigil will be held in the Cascade Mall parking lot, between Applebee’s and Johnny Carino’s at 201 Cascade Mall Drive, in Burlington, which runs along the site of the incident. The event is slated for 7 p.m.

Some candles will be provided by organizers, but people are encouraged to bring their own candles to the vigil.
Signs and candles have already been placed around the mall in the days following the tragedy. The Burlington mayor’s office has reached out to some organizations but is unaware of any current sources for donating to victim’s families.
