Washington women hold off Utah, 53-52 in OT

SEATTLE (AP) - Kelsey Plum and Jazmine Davis each scored 14 points as Washington snapped a three-game Pac-12 losing streak and denied Utah its first conference victory with a 53-52 overtime win Friday night.

Michelle Plouffe made a pair of free throws to cut Washington's lead to one, 46-45 with 39 seconds left in regulation. Talia Walton gave Washington a two-point lead with a free throw, but Emily Potter drilled a jumper with six seconds left to force overtime.

Plum made the Huskies' third straight layup of overtime to take a four-point lead at 53-49, but Seattle native Cheyenne Wilson drilled a 3-pointer for Utah to cut the lead to one with 1:19 left.

Neither team scored in the final minute.

Washington (9-7, 2-3 Pac-12) shot just 29.8 percent from the field (17 of 57).

Plouffe had her eighth double-double for Utah (7-9, 0-5), scoring 20 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.
