Golden Globe Fashion - Hits and Misses
This year, it was really difficult to find anything that really missed the mark. Most everyone who graced the red carpet looked breathtaking and I loved the rainbow of yellow, red, green, and sapphire blue gowns. The designers really did well this year. Here are my picks for best and worst dressed for the 2012 Golden Globes.
The fashion disasters:
Zooey Deshanel- The Golden Globe nominee must have thrown up all over the front of her Prada dress after a fit of anxiety.

Jane Lynch- Same old, same old. A black halter…really? Designer David Meisster could have upped the ante with a different material or silhouette.

Angelina Jolie- This dress had potential, but it reminds me too much of a Valentine’s Day costume.

Michelle Williams- Jason Woo’s purple velvet dress looks incredibly outdated and doesn’t do her justice. It looks like something you’d buy off the rack at a discount department store.

Missy Pyle- Oh my disgusting 90’s prom dress. Out of ALL the dresses you could wear to the Golden Globes, you choose this old, shriveled up mess that looks like a napkin?

Reese Witherspoon- Zac Posen, what have you done?! You gave one of my favorite girl-next-door actresses a bad red dress that looks completely outdated AND with her disheveled hair, she looks like a VIP stripper who got the golden ticket to attend the Golden Globes with her sleazy producer boyfriend.

…and the red carpet fashion winners!
Paula Patton- Monique Lhullier's amazing yellow dress is breathtaking on her figure and stands out against the red carpet. Maria Menunos' yellow gown was also gorgeous, it was hard to pick which yellow dress I liked better!

Heidi Klum- The supermodel looked like she just returned from a trip to Fiji in this minimalistic nude gown with turquoise detailing at the neckline. The dress is incredibly chic and I love that she kept her hair down!

Rooney Mara- I loved her edgy, beautiful black dress with beautiful cutouts and an unexpected bubble hemline.

Evan Rachel Wood- Simply stunning. I loved her peacock inspired gown with shimmery details everywhere. The plunging neckline gave it an extra punch but wasn’t too vulgar.

Charlize Theron- Dior Couture. I know some may not love it, with the gigantic pink bow on the side, but I think it's fun and youthful, a nice change among all the dark sapphire and black.

Mila Kunis- She always looks perfect, but this black Dior gown is simple but absolutely stunning. Paired with Cartier drop earrings, she looks sophisticated and elegant.

Salma Hayek- I am in love with this black and gold Gucci gown! It has an art deco vibe to it with the clean lines and architectural placement of the beading.

Jessica Alba- Her violet Gucci gown with crystal detailing fit her body like a glove. Another actress that always looks beautiful no matter what, but this dress is impeccably designed and is truly one-of-a-kind.

Sofia Vergara- Okay, I need to stop. Usually there aren't as many fashion hits as there are misses, but tonight I can't narrow my favorites down to just five! Her sapphire blue dress is out of this world. Can I steal it from her?
