Important day coming for Irvin, Avril and the Seahawks
By Brady Henderson
Pass rush was the Seahawks' biggest defensive deficiency last season, when they finished tied for 18th in the NFL in sacks and generally had trouble consistently applying pressure on opposing quarterbacks.
It was the area Seattle addressed most this offseason with the additions of Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett in free agency and the selection of Jordan Hill in the third round.
And it's still a bit of a question mark due to injuries that have sidelined Avril (hamstring) and Bruce Irvin (groin) and forced them to miss Seattle's first preseason game.
In the video below, Brock Huard and Danny O'Neil explain why Wednesday's practice is an important one for those two players in particular and the Seahawks in general.
