Pete Carroll gets first September road win with Seattle
By Danny O'Neil
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Seahawks' 12-7 victory at Carolina was their first September road win under coach Pete Carroll and only the second time they'd come back from a halftime deficit to win on the road under Carroll.
Seattle was 0-5 in September road games during Carroll's first three seasons as coach until it won in Carolina Sunday, the first time the Seahawks had won their road opener since 2006.
Not only that, but Seattle came back from a 7-3 halftime deficit to do it. The only other time the Seahawks rallied from a halftime deficit to win on the road under Carroll was a December 2011 game at Chicago when the Seahawks trailed 14-7 at halftime, but came back to win 38-14.
Seattle had lost 13 of the last 14 road games in which they trailed at halftime entering this season.
