An adult male was killed Saturday evening after a small car crashed through the exterior wall of his apartment.

The Kent Fire Department was dispatched at 6:22 pm to a report that a vehicle had struck an apartment building in the 10800 block of SE 240 Street. Upon arrival, they found a small four-door import that was more than halfway inside of a ground floor apartment, according to the Kent Police Department.

Police said firefighters found several people in the home. Firefighters were forced to jack the car up in order to get to the victim but were unable to revive him, police said. No one else was injured.

The two people inside the vehicle were uninjured but were examined by firefighters. Both were interviewed by Kent Police. Neither was detained or arrested.

The identity of the victim and the cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner. Information on the cause of the crash is expected to be released next week.
