The city council of Burien has decided to virtue signal and become a Sanctuary City. They’ve refused to follow federal law and they’ve put up the rebel flag, just like in the Civil War.
They’re not going to say the words Sanctuary City because they don’t want the controversy, but that’s what they’ve become.

Why is it such a difficult concept for the Burien City Council to see that there should be fear in the hearts of people who are breaking the law? Yes, there is a human equation. But there is a human equation to every bit of lawbreaking.
But what they want to do is virtue signal to the left that they’re just like Seattle, just like Portland, and that they have the shining reputation as humanitarians by making the law optional. They think the law is unfair so they’re not going to enforce it.
This is going to cost Burien money. Trump says he’s going to go after Sanctuary Cities. And, for me personally, I’m not going to be able to go to my favorite dry cleaners anymore, as well as other businesses I frequent in Burien.
Lawless societies aren’t compassionate societies. Lawless societies are chaotic. And often they become despotic.
So, City of Burien, congratulations, you just lost a customer.
