4.2 earthquake recorded near Belfair

A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck near Belfair around 9 p.m. Wednesday.
USGS reports the quake’s epicenter was 14km W of Belfair and it was 16.57 km kilometers deep.
According to the MyNorthwest Earthquake Tracker, there were a handful of aftershocks shortly thereafter.
People living in the area felt some shaking, according to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office which tweeted: “We felt that one!” No damage was reported.
Yes, Mason County, we had an earthquake! We had some alarm systems go off but no reports of slides or other damage as of now. Be safe!
