Seattle police are seeking a suspect after a man was stabbed multiple times following an alleged altercation near Street Saturday evening in the International District.
At around 6:15 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to a report of a stabbing at 5th Avenue South and South Jackson Street. The victim, a man in his late 30’s, was allegedly stabbed multiple times in the chest and abdomen during the attack. The suspect fled the area on foot. Seattle Fire Department medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center. His injuries have been described as life-threatening.
Police say there is not much of a suspect description. However, according to witnesses, the suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, and was wearing a white shirt and carrying a dark jacket. He was last seen fleeing the scene eastbound on South Jackson Street. Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect.
Detectives will handle the follow-up investigation. Anyone with information on this assault is asked to contact the SPD.

The woman, described as in her 60s, was crossing busy South 152nd Street, when a driver, headed eastbound, struck her and kept going. Horne reported that detectives don’t have much to go on in finding the hit-and-run vehicle, which is described as a newer, gray or silver sedan with front-end damage.
