Kim Kardashian and Honey Boo Boo top Bing’s 2012 searches

Almost as coveted as being Time Magazine’s person of the year, Kim Kardashian is the most-searched person of 2012 through Microsoft’s Bing. Honey Boo Boo also makes her debut on the list of top online searches this year.
If you’ve avoided the reality of reality TV this year, Honey Boo Boo is the nickname of a little southern pageant queen named Alana. After appearing on “Toddlers and Tiaras” this year her family had their own spin-off show.
Based on the aggregation of billions of search queries conducted on Bing this year, Microsoft came up with the most clicked people and events in several categories:
Most-Searched Person of the Year:
Kim Kardashian was the most-searched person of the year in 2012, regaining the spot she also held in 2010. Her relationship ups and downs, including a new relationship with Kanye West, made Kim more interesting than ever, apparently. While Justin Bieber fell to the second spot. Newcomers to the top of the list include Rihanna, Selena Gomez, and Nicki Minaj.
