San Francisco band Permanent Collection is Jason Hendardy, Megan Dabkowski, Brenden Nerfa and Mike Stillman and boy oh boy this motley crew sure can make some hazy pop music that will have you bopping your head for days. The quartet is somewhat fresh on the scene having been a band just since this past January and is the brainchild of lead vocalist Hendardy. Prior to starting this new venture, Hendardy had been a prominent member of another band called Young Prisms but needed a bit of a change so he decided to go solo. The first Permanent Collection record was all Hendardy and while chatting with the band before they were to take the stage at Barboza he described the sound of that album to me as '...way different one man electronic type music...' and now that there is a full band backing him he says about the music that '...now is a better representation of what we want to do musically, together...'.

Permanent Collection's debut full length, Newly Wed Nearly Dead is due this coming August 7th and I suggest you pick it up.
