Oh. My. God. Liars' new video for their song 'Brats' is nothing short of a massively disturbing, anxiety filled take on the Elmer Fudd vs. Bugs Bunny story. It's the only video that I can imagine working with the both danceable yet panic attack inducing song. I think it's the steady bass line that really gets to me. It makes me feel like driving my car at an unimaginable speed with one foot pressed firmly on the gas and my other foot balanced on the seat while my entire body hangs out of the sunroof, not giving a f*%k.
The new record is called WIXIW (wish you) and is out now. Angus Andrew explains the album title WIXIW... ’wish you’ is a familiar and universal sentiment of longing and hope, but when misspelt becomes uniquely shrouded and difficult to interpret, which in many ways is representative of our music and the songs we wrote for this album”.
