Why doesn’t America have an Iran policy?

I would like to crush a Progressive myth. It’s our Iran policy. We don’t have one.
There was a great write up about this on the Powerline blog called “The Trouble with Compliance.”

Remember when the Iran agreement was being designed? There were members of the Senate who wanted to see the agreement and were told they couldn’t!
This was all the creation of Barack Obama’s. But the Ayatollah himself said there was no agreement. They called it a deal, but it was not. Nothing was signed.
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says that Iran is only being delayed from becoming a nuclear state. And that the Trump administration is not going to pass the buck on Iran.
“The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action is not a treaty, or an executive agreement and is not a signed document,” reads a line from a 2015 letter sent by Obama’s State Department.
Since there is no agreement, the new president can do whatever he wants.
