A Seattle man says that having Billy Idol play his 26th birthday party was the “greatest” moment of his life.
Michael Henrichsen spent two years trying to convince the rock star to perform for his party, and it finally paid off at the packed Showbox SoDo club last night.
Henrichsen has been talking about his amazing birthday through social media. Idol guitarist Steve Stevens played him ‘Happy Birthday,’ then Idol called Henrichsen onto the stage for a rendition of the song.
Henrichsen’s ’80s cover band even got to play the opening act.
Idol says the reason he finally agreed to play for Henrichsen’s birthday was because it involved his charity – “Billy Idol Aid.” The concerts raised $13,000 for the Northwest Harvest food bank and the American Red Cross.
