A bacon sundae - Ewww or Mmmm?

BKBacon cupcakes are common around Seattle, and now Burger King brings us the bacon sundae for summer.

Beginning Thursday in some parts of the country, BK will begin offering a vanilla soft serve with fudge, caramel, bacon crumbles and a piece of bacon. It's been test marketed in Nashville, Tennessee and the folks there love it.

The salty-sweet dessert has 510 calories, 18 grams of fat and 61 grams of sugar. Want to try one? Why stop with ice cream - what else should bacon be added to?

Later this month the company will go public on the New York Stock Exchange, likely being a more successful IPO than Facebook.

Wendy's is also revamping its menu to improve ingredients and recast itself as a higher-end burger chain.

Taco Bell earlier this year introduced its tacos with Doritos shells and a "nacho burrito" that includes corn chips, and they're trying to make more high-quality, low-calorie foods.
