The main contenders for Washington governor both have television advertisements featuring their families.
Jay Inslee was the first to run an ad on TV with a “Get to Work” theme. He introduced us to his wife, children and a baby grandchild. He talked about his “perfect” 40-year marriage between a Husky and a Coug and detailed his career before this run for governor.
“This race isn’t about my job, it’s about yours,” Inslee says, as he talks about creating jobs through innovation. “It’s time to get to work.”
Rob McKenna’s theme is “A New Direction” for Washington. He also features his wife and family.
Reform state government, focus on science and technology in school, lower expenses for a college education by have the state share 50 percent of the costs.
McKenna’s commercial seems to have a faster pace, not only because it features him running, but because it’s a 30 second commercial, compared with Inslee’s 60 second spot.
Compare, contrast. Your thoughts?
