Weekend traffic: Road closures and events

Drivers beware. Graduations, Mariners games and road work are sure to delay your errands this weekend. According to the from WSDOT, here’s what you need to know about weekend traffic:
Friday, June 9
• Edmonds Community College Graduation, 6:30 – 9:30 p.m., Xfinity Arena
• Def Leopard, Poison & Tesla, 7 to 11 p.m., White River Amphitheatre
• Mariners vs. Blue Jays, 7:10 p.m., Safeco Field
Saturday, June 10
Two protests in downtown Seattle will likely snarl traffic in that area.
• Anti-Sharia law march at Seattle City Hall at 10 a.m.
•Counter protest at Occidental Park at 9 a.m.
SR 99 Seattle: The two right lanes of northbound SR 99 on the First Avenue South Bridge will be closed from 5:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
• Fall City Parade & Fun Run, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Fall City
• University of Washington Graduation, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., Montlake
• Monroe HS Graduation, 1:30 – 4:30 p.m., Xfinity Arena
• Future & Migos, 7 to 11 p.m., White River Amphitheatre
• Mariners vs. Blue Jays, 7:10 p.m., Safeco Field
• Flying Wheels Bike Ride, Snoqualmie Valley
Sunday, June 11
I-90 SEATTLE TO EASTGATE: Both directions of I-90 between I-5 and 161st Avenue Southeast will be reduced to one lane intermittently starting with the westbound lanes at 11:59 p.m. Saturday. All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. Sunday.
• Seattle University Graduation, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., KeyArena
• Mariners vs. Blue Jays, 1:10 p.m., Safeco Field
Monday, June 12
In Issaquah, a stretch of East Lake Sammamish Parkway just north of I-90 will be closed for a culvert project from June 13-18, re-opening on 19th. The I-90 on- and off-ramps at Exit 17 will stay open. Drivers headed south on the parkway will not be able to get to I-90.
