Colton Harris-Moore, aka the “Barefoot Bandit,” lashed out at Seattle mayoral candidate and former U.S. Attorney Jenny Durkan earlier this week.
Harris-Moore served a six-year prison sentence for thefts and burglaries he committed around the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Criminal charges included, among other things, interstate transportation of a stolen aircraft and boat, and possession of a stolen firearm. He caused more than $1 million in losses and damages. He was eventually caught by Bahamian police after a boat chase.
After being indicted by a federal grand jury, Durkan said this:
“The grand jury action today is an important step in holding Colton Harris-Moore accountable for his criminal conduct.”
Years later, Harris-Moore is trying to get his pilot’s license and dispel the myth of the “Barefoot Bandit.”

However, Harris-Moore isn’t completely putting his past behind him. He took to Twitter, calling Durkan names and hurling insults.

Harris-Moore is a big supporter of former Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn, who decided to run for election once again. He told KIRO Radio’s Ron and Don that he would be willing to work on McGinn’s campaign for free.
“I totally would put in the time. I’d do it for free,” he said Wednesday night.
But the man putting his life back together also says McGinn isn’t doing enough to keep Durkan from winning. Harris-Moore says McGinn isn’t being as “blunt,” “direct,” or “vocal” about his plan, his agenda, his solutions as Durkan is. McGinn is letting Durkan “steamroll” the race, he added.
