So, President Trump isn’t under investigation after all?

Is the president being investigated? He seemed to acknowledge that when he tweeted Friday.
Ross: It’s all fun and games until you become president
I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director! Witch Hunt

But on the Sunday talk shows, his lawyer Jay Sekulow said that the president’s Tweet was in response to a Washington Post story quoting unnamed sources and that the problem was Twitter’s strict limit on characters. Tweet or no tweet, the president is not under investigation, according to Sekulow.
To make sure the message got out, he hit as many of the Sunday shows as he could.
“I want to be very clear about this, the president is not and has not been under investigation,” Sekulow said and repeated throughout the day.
So the president is not under investigation.
As for the issue of that other interesting tweet, where the President implied he has tapes of his meetings with various people in which he discusses not being under investigation: “This issue will be addressed in due course and I suspect next week.”
Of course, that’s what the president said last week.
The other rumor that’s been going around is that the president is not happy with special counsel Robert Mueller and was — at one point anyway — on the brink of firing him, on the ground that he’s biased.
On ABC’S “This Week,” Rep. Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said Mueller has support on both sides of the aisle.
“The president wants to take down Bob Mueller … and the question is why. And I think the answer is they want to lay the foundation to discredit whatever Bob Mueller comes up with.”
