French president's chef says adieu
Bernard Vaussion, right, retiring head chef at the Elysee Palace, poses for photographers with his successor Guillaume Gomez, in the kitchens at the Elysee Palace in Paris, France, Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013. He’s fed five French presidents and peppered the steak tartare of some of the most powerful leaders in the world, but now France’s presidential chef is retiring after four decades of culinary service. Sixty-year-old Bernard Vaussion was filled with emotion while cooking his last lunch for the President Francois Hollande Thursday at the Elysee Palace _ a farewell meal that included raspberry millefeuille.
