Plant of the Week: Heuchera ‘Obsidian’
Aug 15, 2013, 4:41 PM | Updated: 4:57 pm
“If you are like me and are crazy about perennials with dark foliage, you’ll go absolutely ‘ga ga’ over Heuchera ‘Obsidian.’ The glossy leaves on this 16-inch mound of dark purple appear almost black, the color doesn’t fade, even planted in full-sun, and the leaves are highly resistant to rust. The sprays of tiny white flowers contrast beautifully with the dark foliage, and are surprisingly attractive to hummingbirds. Heuchera ‘Obsidian’ is an easy to care for perennial that will make an elegant addition in your container design or in a sunny border.” – Ciscoe Morris
