Committee for Children has been named Bonneville Seattle’s Charity of the Month for July, for fostering the safety and well-being of children through social-emotional learning and development.
Social-emotional learning is recognizing and managing emotions, having empathy for others, maintaining cooperative relationships, and making responsible decisions. CFC is the world’s largest provider of research-based educational programs. Each year, more than 10.6 million children in over 70 countries benefit from these programs that help promote social-emotional skills and prevent bullying and sexual abuse.
CFC is so committed to this cause that in 2013 they developed an in-house lab to keep innovation at the forefront of their ongoing efforts. For more information about Committee for Children and how you can help, visit www.cfchildren.org.
