What began as simple fun became, well, fun with a payoff for one Mukilteo resident.
Raymond Davidson, 24, told KIRO Radio’s Rantz and Burns that although he can’t make a living out of his pinball hobby, it has its payoffs.
Davidson won the World Pinball Championship earlier this month, winning $1,000 and a machine worth thousands.
The multi-day championship was almost an endurance test, with competitors having to play several games a day for hours on end. Davidson considers it a sport and a game. A sport because of how long you have to play. A game because, well, it’s fun to play.
“It’s a lot of pinball,” he said.
His favorite game? “Simpson Pinball Party!”
