Brent Amaker & The Rodeo CD Release this Saturday

Brent Amaker & The Rodeo have been holed up at an undisclosed location way out west working on a follow up to 2010’s Please Stand By, kicking up dust with every sip of whiskey and searching for The Truth. I’m not exactly sure if the group have in fact found The Truth but one thing the guys have found is 13 brand new tracks that make up B.A.R.’s latest effort, Year of the Dragon.
Another thing Brent Amaker & The Rodeo have found is a partnership with Walla Walla, WA’s Proletariat Winery to produce two kinds of Rodeo wine – one white, one red. The wine will be available at Neumos for the record release show this Saturday. I was lucky enough to be invited to a super swanky Year of the Dragon listening party a few weeks ago and I can tell you that the Rodeo wine is oh so good.
Brent & the band will be donating the proceeds coming from the wine sales to Northwest Harvest, a food bank charity who provides nutritious food to the hungry with a Cherry Street location as well as various food bank partners in Seattle and across the state.
Oh, and you haven’t been to Neumos lately, check this out.
