Plant of the Week: Perovskia Atriplicifolia
Sep 13, 2013, 11:26 AM | Updated: 11:45 am
“Okay, even though Perovskia Atriplicifolia is called Russian sage, it’s not a sage, and it doesn’t come from Russia. It is however a magnificent, drought-tolerant, pest-free plant with attractive silver foliage and clouds made up of gazillions of tiny blue blossoms that create the effect of an airy blue mist in any sunny location in the garden. The beautiful flower display lasts from July through September. Keep your Russian sage looking spectacular and fresh by cutting the foliage down to within 4 inches of the ground every spring when new growth occurs at the base.” – Ciscoe Morris
