Seattle’s electronic music Decibel Fest is teasing fans heading into its 10th year, announcing just part of its lineup Tuesday for the annual event spanning much of the city.
“This year we will be breaking the artist announcements up into three equal parts. The second announcement will be on June 4th and the third and final announcement will be on August 6th. The majority of the headliners will be coming on the second or third announcements,” said founder and curator Sean Horton.
Despite the lack of headliners, the initial lineup still packs plenty of punch. Among the acts sure to excite for the September festival are Helio Sequence, PillowTalk, Peter Hook & The Light, Shabazz Palaces and Ben Klock.
Also Tuesday, the Capitol Hill Block Party announced it was adding Seattle’s Telekinesis, Purity Ring and several other acts to the previously released lineup, and announced the schedule for the three-day summer festival July 26-28.
Girl Talk, STRFKR and the Chromatics headline the Friday night lineup. Pickwick, Purity Ring and A Trak top the bill Saturday night, while Sunday night features the biggest names to wrap up the festival including The Flaming Lips, Frightened Rabbit, Cults and Hey Marseilles.
Three day passes for the Capitol Hill Block Party run $95, with single day passes now on sale for $40.
