A lot of old and just a little new highlights the summer concert series at Redmond’s Marymoor Park announced Monday.
The season gets underway June 19 with a reggae-fest featuring Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and his brother Stephen, the sons of reggae legend Bob Marley.
Hall and Oates, Steely Dan, Willie Nelson and former Grateful Dead members Phil Lesh and Bob Weir are among the other classic rock acts dominating the popular series.
Other acts announced include popular folk-rockers The Lumineers and lounge lizards Pink Martini.
Tickets for the newly announced shows go on sale Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. Organizers say more shows will be announced soon.
Meantime, the lineup for the Puyallup Fair concert series at the Washington State Fair in September continues to grow, with tickets for rap-rocker Kid Rock going on sale Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. He joins previously announced acts CeeLo Green, Carrie Underwood, Alabama, Larry the Cable Guy and more.
Other popular summer music events including Bumbershoot and the Chateau St. Michelle series have yet to announce their schedules.
